Sony and Team Asobi recently unveiled the launch of Astro Bot for PlayStation 5 set for September 6. The game, introduced during the State of Play event, is anticipated to be a standout release of the year, offering players an engaging and inventive gameplay experience. A notable feature of the new Astro Bot is the introduction of 15 fresh Astro skills tailored for the DualSense controller.

Players in Astro Bot will go on a grand adventure across six different galaxies, each containing more than 80 difficult levels. The objective is to save Astro’s missing crew, travel through planets with diverse environments, and utilize the DualSpeeder for interplanetary navigation. The game’s diverse challenges and settings ensure continuous player involvement and enjoyment throughout their journey.

Astro gained new abilities for the latest game thanks to the DualSense controller of the PlayStation 5, which offers enhanced interaction such as tactile feedback and adjustable triggers. Notable skills include the “Barkster,” enabling shooting while airborne and passing through barriers like metal and glass, the twin frog gloves for long-range punches and swinging, and the giant sponge that can gather water to unleash powerful attacks.

Players will encounter more than 70 new enemy variations, alongside the familiar foes from the series. Every galaxy features a final showdown against a unique boss, offering the revelation of a highly confidential matter upon their defeat.

Pre-purchase and preview

The pre-order for Astro Bot on PlayStation 5 starts on June 7, allowing early purchasers to dive into the intergalactic adventure when the game launches on September 6.
