Honor Magic6 Pro and Magic V2 will be the initial devices to try out the beta version of Android 15.

Honor announced today its involvement in the Android 15 beta program, with the Honor Magic6 Pro and Honor Magic V2 smartphones being the first to receive the update for testing the new OS features. The official release for all compatible models is expected in the second half of the year.

New features include the SDK sandbox and isolated environments for services like advertising to safeguard user data. The Privacy Indicator and permission management portal provide users with enhanced control over their personal information.

Android 15 enhances the Android Dynamic Performance Framework (ADPF) to improve energy efficiency and responsiveness for GPU, CPU, and cooling system interactions, enhancing the overall user experience.

Availability of goods or services

Android 15 Beta 1 is now accessible for the Honor Magic6 Pro and Honor Magic V2. These devices feature exceptional camera technology and AI capabilities in the Magic6 Pro, and the innovative Magic V2, a foldable smartphone with a thickness of less than 10 mm.

Both devices have replaced four MagicOS updates, Honor’s original interface, and five years of security updates.
