Honor announced today its involvement in the Android 15 beta program, with the Honor Magic6 Pro and Honor Magic V2 smartphones being the first to receive the update for testing the new OS features. The official release for all compatible models is expected in the second half of the year.
Honor Magic6 Pro and Magic V2 are being tested with Android 15.
The beta Android 15 program provides developers with exclusive access to the newest Android operating system updates, enabling them to experiment with new features and enhance their apps’ compatibility on key test devices like the Honor Magic6 Pro and Magic V2.
Privacy and security are important aspects that need more focus when testing Android 15’s beta version. New features include the SDK sandbox and isolated environments for services like advertising to safeguard user data. The Privacy Indicator and permission management portal provide users with enhanced control over their personal information.

Android 15 enhances the Android Dynamic Performance Framework (ADPF) to improve energy efficiency and responsiveness for GPU, CPU, and cooling system interactions, enhancing the overall user experience.
