Founder of the submarine company who pleaded on Titanic is now planning another journey.

One year ago, on June 18, the Titan submarine vanished in the sea while exploring the Titanic wreckage, resulting in the loss of five crew members. However, Guillermo Söhnlein, a co-founder of the now-defunct OceanGate, appears undeterred by this tragedy and is currently advocating for a different underwater expedition.

The latest Blue Marble Exploration voyage

Last year’s tragedy led to the collapse of the minisubmarine and the disbandment of OceanGate Expeditions. Söhnlein now heads Blue Marble Exploration, the company organizing the upcoming expedition to the blue hole, which is about 202 meters deep.

Specific information regarding the type of submersible to be utilized has not been revealed yet. However, the company’s website guarantees that participants can anticipate the unexpected. The submersible will include LED lights and underwater drone technology.

The expedition group will consist of Guillermo Söhnlein, the CEO of Blue Marble Exploration, a scientific team leader, and a medical director to oversee the mission, indicating a commitment to safety and success despite concerns about Söhnlein’s past.

The price of tickets for the new adventure has not been revealed yet, but it might be expensive like the Titan expedition, which cost $20,000 per passenger.
