Star+ users will need to bid farewell to the streaming service as all its content will now be available on Disney+, starting from today. This move is intended to consolidate all content under one app to make it easier for subscribers to access. The integration of Star+ content into Disney+ was previously announced by both platforms and, for the time being, the Star+ app is still operational but will be phased out soon.
Star+ catalog moves to Disney+
Star+ and Disney+ have a similar appearance, but the main distinction lies in the content they provide. Going forward, Disney+ will offer Star+ series, movies, and documentaries. A dedicated section for Star+ content is now available on the Disney+ app, making it convenient for users to access what was previously exclusive to another platform.
ESPN live broadcasts are now integrated into Disney+ through the Star+ section, allowing users to watch live sports and other sports-related content.
The Star+ app is currently accessible and functioning normally, enabling users to watch their content without any limitations. Nevertheless, this situation is not likely to persist for much longer as the app is anticipated to be deactivated shortly. Users will be notified about the transfer of content to Disney+.
